Robot mower questions, answered

Do robot mowers still need a boundary wire?

Many current models do not. Wire-free robot mowers use virtual boundaries created digitally, although some NERA models can still use physical boundary wire where that better suits part of the garden.

How do I choose the right robot mower size?

Start with your actual lawn area rather than total plot size, then allow for slopes, separate lawns and how intensively you want the mower to operate. Our Find Your Mower guide groups the current range by practical capacity.

What is EdgeCut?

EdgeCut uses an additional cutting disc to reach closer to lawn borders. It reduces the amount of follow-up trimming, although awkward corners and walls can still need occasional attention.

What does AI vision do on a robot mower?

Compatible V-series models use a camera to recognise common objects and help the mower respond intelligently. On some models, vision also helps navigation in temporarily weaker satellite areas.
